EThe third graders of the local elementary school were given an insight into the many tasks of the community.
The pupils of the third grade at the Lilienfeld elementary school visited the team of the Lilienfeld municipal office as part of the “Action Week for Municipal Education”. The children were amazed when Mayor Manuel Aichberger explained to them how many tasks the municipality takes on. “The municipality lives from the commitment of its citizens. It was therefore a particular pleasure for me to welcome the students to the municipal office. The better the children know their home community, the more they value life here and may want to get involved in community activities in the future,” says local manager Manuel Aichberger.
The municipality of Lilienfeld bought the children’s book “My community, my home” from the Austrian Association of Municipalities especially for the lessons. The students read this together and were given worksheets to work on. The “Communal Education Action Week” was initiated by the Austrian Association of Municipalities with the support of the Ministry of Education.
