Students gave ESI workshops in San José del Boquerón

Students and teachers from the Faculty of Humanities, Social and Health Sciences of the National University of Santiago del Estero gave Comprehensive Sexual Education (ESI) workshops to boys and girls from the town of San José del Boquerón, located in the Copo department. .

The activities were carried out in two days framed in the closing of the volunteer project titled “Caring and Taking Care of Us. Teaching and Learning Comprehensive Sexual Education (ESI) from Collective Health in Rural Communities.”

The first was carried out with courses from 1st to 5th years of Secondary School, Grouping No. 86,063 where the topics “Care practices in relation to sexualities” were addressed (1st and 2nd Year); “Healthy bonds to deconstruct romantic love in dating relationships” (3rd Year); “The value of affectivity” (4th year) and “Barrier methods and STIs” (5th year).

Simultaneously, a workshop was held to evaluate the work done together during these three years with members of the Women’s Front and the Salado Norte Women’s Network in Piruaj Bajo; opportunity in which women were able to put into words what they had experienced. There was also discussion about care tasks and the naturalization of these jobs, the effects on bodies, among others.

Finally, the integration of the project was carried out with all groups of primary and secondary students and the women who participated during the year. This activity took place at Primary School No. 806 El Ceibal, where there were different actions such as the walk “The ESI on a walk through El Ceibal”, interactive activities, collage, stands and games linked to the theme of the project.
