Students from the Bachelor of Music at Unison to Present ‘The Messiah’ at the Cathedral of Hermosillo

This December 15, students from the Bachelor of Music at the University of Sonora will present “The Messiah” by Handel, at the Metropolitan Cathedral of Hermosillo.

The chamber director of the Bachelor of Music at Unison, Héctor Acosta, mentioned that it is a work of sacred music, related to Christmas and the birth of Jesus.

“We are going to perform for the fifth time “The Messiah” by Handel, using the first part, which is the Christmas part, this work was composed in 1741 and premiered in 1742,” he said.

Sopranos Paola Orozco, Paula Pavlovich, Ana Laura Saavedra and Humberto Oviedo will participate in the performance.
The event will start at 8:00 p.m. and is open to the public.
