Students from Antilen de Rengo school were mobilized for four days – 2024-04-16 21:29:51

This Tuesday, the students of the Antilen school, (subsidized private), in the commune of Rengo, spent four days mobilized, without going to classes, demanding from the supporters a series of improvements that allow a better development of academic work.

The stoppage of activities that they have carried out has the support of a significant number of parents and, in the voice of the president of the General Parents Center, Claudia Casanova, they are asking for improvements in the infrastructure of the bathrooms, expansion of spaces to carry out sports and acles practice, photocopying, delivery of work guides, among others.

Currently there is no computer room, there are more data show projectors available, which means that courses must be moved to other rooms. In addition, the students maintain that there are 17 courses without support from the PIE School Integration Program, there is a lack of laboratory material, among other requests.

The representatives of the educational facility pay a monthly payment of 95 thousand pesos and, according to what was reported, a meeting was scheduled for this Tuesday afternoon with the supporter of the educational facility, who resides in the Metropolitan Region. The objective is to combine criteria so that the demands of the students and parents are heard and to be able to resume classes normally, taking into account that last week a meeting that was previously scheduled did not take place, a situation that caused the annoyance of students.

The majority of parents have chosen not to send their children, hoping that the situation can be resolved. From within the educational facility, an official version of the situation faced has not been given, awaiting what the visit of the supporter of the educational facility will determine.
