Students can watch a documentary about Greta Thunberg for free on Friday NOW

Pupils aged seventeen or younger can go to the cinema for free on Friday 16 October for the documentary I Am Greta, about the life of climate activist Greta Thunberg. The organization Fridays For Future Netherlands announced this on Monday website.

Fridays For Future has set up the promotion with film distributor Periscoop Film. The news was announced on the first Climate Day. The aim of the action is to introduce as many young people as possible to I Am Greta.

The documentary follows Thunberg’s development into the globally renowned climate activist she is today – from the first school strikes at the Swedish Parliament on Friday to the sailing trip that took her to the United Nations conference in New York in 2019, where she talked about climate.

Students can see the film in cinemas in Amersfoort, Amsterdam, The Hague, Deventer, Eindhoven, Groningen, Haarlem, Leeuwarden, Nijmegen and Rotterdam.

I Am Greta can be seen in cinemas from 22 October, except for the preview for students.
