The French student who accused convicted teacher Samuel Paty of Islamophobia has apologized to relatives in court. “I want to apologize to the family for ruining your life,” she said in her testimony.
The girl who is now 17 years old stood before the judge yesterday to give evidence in the trial against, among others, her father. The student had told him that Paty had asked all Muslims to leave the classroom during a lesson. This is said to have happened when he showed cartoons of the Islamic prophet Mohammed.
