Student video games unveiled in the metaverse

The graduates of the independent video game design program at Dawson College, in Montreal, have found an original way to present their graduation creations.

The public had an appointment in a 3D virtual space on the platform AltspaceVR Saturday in order to play and discuss with the young developers of the establishment within the framework of the IVGD (independent video game design) Game Showcase 2022.

The majority of the games presented were developed by graduates of Dawson College’s independent video game program.

People could therefore move around in a digital room created for the occasion, in the form of an arcade, where a dozen games were presented. By getting closer, Internet users had the possibility of downloading the video game titles on their computer for free.

In particular, there were Fogoa fireball platform game, and Metal Melodya music competition game.

Those who preferred to get a glimpse of the cohort’s video games within the virtual space could also walk through large screens to enter a 3D version of the various titles, like the experience offered by a virtual museum. .
