Student victims of assaults denounce “the culture of rape” in the medical faculty of Bordeaux

Over the past two years, several cases of rape and sexual assault by female medical students have been reported. Their anonymous testimonies are published on the social networks of Hygée Santé, a feminist collective created in 2019 by female students. They want to “educate and raise awareness” of a phenomenon fueled in their eyes by certain problematic behaviors in health studies (evenings, WEI, courses, etc.). Accused of being too shy in the face of these attacks, the Carabini association and the faculty say they have taken charge of the problem.
