Student Suspects Motorbike Suspect, Police Allow Home

Anjani Rahma Pramesti, female car driver who crashed motor causing the death of an official in East Jakarta to be officially declared a suspect.

Kanit Laka Lantas East Jakarta Metro Police AKP Agus Suparyanto said Anjani was named a suspect after undergoing a series of inspection processes.

“I set it as a suspect,” Agus told reporters on Friday (17/7).

The police ensnared Anjani with Article 310 paragraph 4 of Law Number 22 Year 2009 concerning Traffic and Road Transportation.

“He is not detained because the family guarantees and is cooperative,” he said.

Although named as a suspect, but Anjani did not undergo detention. Agus said, it was because Anjani was cooperative during the examination process. On the other hand, Agus made sure that Anjani was not under the influence of alcohol while driving her car.

Agus said that the suspect was tired and sleepy because of this deadline profession. From the information gathered, Anjani is known to be a contract worker at the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas).

“Nothing influences anything, just tired, sleepy. He was chased by the presentation deadline,” Agus said.

Last Wednesday (7/15), there was an accident involving cars and motorbikes on Jalan Panjaitan fly over Jatinegara, East Jakarta.

At that time, the car Anjani drove from north to south around the crime scene (TKP).

“Arriving at the Jatinegara fly over, (the car) crashed into a motorbike that was walking in front of it so that it crashed and bounced along with passengers on the road until he died at the scene,” Agus said, Thursday (7/16).

After crashing, the car kept going until it took another victim. Not far from the location, the car crashed into one person who was pushing his motorcycle until he was injured.

As a result of the incident, two people died and one other person suffered a torn wound in the forehead.
