Saturday night had to three recruits travel home after the season’s first fog game. One of them was Faten Mahdi Al-Hussaini (26), who was beaten by NRK profile Margrethe Røed (44) when they were hanging from each other’s logs.
However, it is not Saturday’s loss that worries the 26-year-old. Earlier this winter, she reopened corona-angsten, after she and her family were diagnosed with coronary heart disease.
Side effects
Al-Hussaini visits Good evening Norway’s studio and says that to this day she struggles with the after-effects of the virus.
– It’s all right, I’m struggling with side effects like dizziness. I am dizzy all the time, she explains and continues:
– I also suddenly faint, it is very disgusting. At least when I sleep, I’m dizzy.
The 26-year-old says that she fainted when she had to go to bed at night when she had corona, which is still left.
– I last fainted two days ago, I hope I do not faint here now, she says.
Lost his sense of taste
A common after-effect of the coronavirus is losing the sense of taste and smell, which Al-Hussaini also did. She wanted to take advantage of it as long as it lasted.
– Nothing tasted anything, so I ate, among other things, the broccoli soup that my mother made, she says and continues:
– I should try to eat all the healthy food that I basically do not like, she says.
When she finally went on a sushi date with her friends, it happened.
– I told my friends that I could finally join the sushi date, but then I got my sense of taste back, she laughs.
Still scared
As mentioned earlier, the 26-year-old has been open about corona anxiety. During the first months of the pandemic, she stayed indoors.
When asked if she is still scared after she has been infected, she answers as follows:
– I’m more scared than ever. Due to the British variant.
She further explains that she has not read up on whether she can be infected again, but that she does not take any chances.
– I’m still crazy and taking antibac on everything. I antibacer antibacen, she says and concludes:
– I will continue like this for another two years. I’m going to die of stress, she says with a twinkle in her eye.
