Several well-known Dutch people have a chance to be the new voice of With an eye to tomorrow to become. Actress Thekla Reuten and Jacqueline Blom and actor Gijs Scholten van Aschat, among others, are on the shortlist.
The NPO Radio 1 program announced the shortlist in Friday evening’s broadcast. There are eleven names on the list. They were chosen from more than seven thousand applications.
The program is looking for a new voice for the introductory text of the program, because voice-over Hans Hogendoorn is quitting after almost half a century.
All entries will be listened to in the coming weeks by a jury, which, in addition to Fleur Wallenburg, also includes presenter Rob Trip and FunX figurehead Fernando Halman. The winner will be announced in a special broadcast on February 10.
