Structural Changes at “Kleine Zeitung”: New Board Members and Expansion into Digital Business

In the future, Herwig Langanger will be responsible for the “Kleine Zeitung” on the Styria board, which was previously the responsibility of CEO Markus Mair. Langanger only joined the Styria board of directors in September last year; he previously managed the Styria subsidiary “Die Presse” as managing director.

Furthermore, the “Kleine Zeitung” gets a third managing director. Xenia Daum, previously CEO of the Content Performance Group (Cope), which belongs to Styria, is to lead the digital business of the “Kleine Zeitung” in the future. She is the third managing director alongside editor-in-chief Hubert Patterer and Thomas Spann. She is to further expand the digital area, as a consultant for this, meeting participants want to have heard the name of Anita Zielina, she was responsible for the digital business of “NZZ”.

Recently, several people were terminated in the editorial office of the medium. 17 members of the editorial team signed up for a voluntary handshake program that was valid until last week, ten are said to accept it and will leave the house, including several editors from domestic politics.
