It will be cloudy over large parts of the country from the morning on Saturday. There will be some sunny spells in some areas, but clouds will increase as the day progresses. It will rain in parts of western and northern Bulgaria. On the northern mountain slopes and in the eastern half of the country, a strong southwesterly wind will blow, with which temperatures will remain higher than normal for the season. Where there is snow cover, it will continue to melt. Early morning temperatures will be in a wide range – from 2-3 degrees in the northwest to 13-14 degrees in the southeast. During the day the thermometers will move between 7-8 degrees and 17-18.

Already on Saturday evening the atmospheric circulation will change with the invasion of cold air. The wind will shift from the west-northwest and temperatures will drop. On Sunday in the Northwest, the clouds will part. It will rain in some areas of southern Bulgaria, more likely in the southeast. Snow is possible in isolated places in the Danube lowland. It will be breezy with the wind tending to die down in the afternoon and evening, but will remain cool. In the morning, temperatures will be between 3 and 8 degrees, in the afternoon – between 5 and 10, with higher values ​​in the southeast.

The clouds will start to clear on Monday, but it will be more sunny on Tuesday and Wednesday. However, cold air masses will keep temperatures close to the usual ones for the season – in the morning between 0 and minus 5 degrees, in the afternoon – up to 5.6 degrees. There will be more clouds in the southeast, and it is not excluded that at the beginning of the week it may snow in some parts of the Strandzha, Sakar and Eastern Rhodopes.

As Christmas approaches, there will be conditions for thicker and more persistent fogs with temperature inversions in the low-lying areas of the country. On Thursday afternoon and Friday, cloud cover will temporarily increase, but there will be no precipitation. Warmer air will invade and on Christmas Eve and Christmas the weather will be sunnier, and the prevailing daytime temperatures will be between 10 and 15-16 degrees.
