Strong storm heading to Metro Vancouver: Environment Canada

Vancouver (CBNnews) – Heavy rain and winds are expected over metropolitan Vancouver and the Fraser Valley on Sunday night and Monday, according to the announcement made by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of Canada – Environment Canada.

A powerful storm system is forecast to impact the southern coast of British Columbia starting tonight.

A relatively short but intense spell of rain is expected to begin shortly after midnight. This Monday morning there will be heavy rainfall and the rain is expected to decrease around midday.

Forecasts indicate that there will be between 40 and 70 mm of rain in several areas of Metro Vancouver.

Likewise, strong winds are expected over the Vancouver metropolitan area tomorrow, Monday, for much of the day and will extend to the Fraser Valley, according to indications. Environment Canada.
