Strong statements from Messi after he officially signed for Inter Miami
Argentine star Lionel Messi signed his contracts to join Inter Miami yesterday, Saturday, in a free transfer deal, after the expiration of his contract with the French team, Paris Saint-Germain.
Messi’s contract with Inter Miami will expire at the end of the 2025 MLS season, that is, it will last for two and a half years, but half of the 2023 season has already been played.
Messi said in a statement: “I am very excited to start this next step in my career with Inter Miami and the United States. It is a great opportunity and together we will continue to build this beautiful project.”
“The idea is to work together to achieve the goals we set for ourselves and I’m really excited to start helping here in my new home,” he added.
Inter Miami ranks last in the league championship standings, with 18 points from 22 matches.
