Strong Obernburger scores points at TSG Offenbach-Bürgel

Oberliga Hessen: TSG Offenbach-Bürgel – Tuspo Obernburg 21:23 (9:8). – The first 15 minutes were very even and the lead swung back and forth. In the hard-fought match, there were a total of 14 time penalties divided between the two teams, plus two red cards for Tuspo. From the start they put up an outstanding defense with a very strong Sandro Friedrich in goal. Although the home side managed a short lead of 9:6, this was compensated for by Tuspo in the break.

After the restart, the guests also increased their attack and after goals from Milos Kreckovic and Louis Markert in the 47th minute they took the lead with 15:14 for the first time. From this point on, Frank’s crew determined what was happening in the field. The home side defended vehemently, but in the 54th minute the Tuspos were still ahead (20:16), they couldn’t get the butter off their bread and finally celebrated a well-deserved away victory.

“Today it was very important to be compact in defense and we did it very well,” said Tuspo coach Rudi Frank. And again: “We put Bürgel’s strong backcourt under extreme pressure right from the start and completely took the strength out of their speed game.”

Now Obernburger wants to fill up again in the last game of the year next weekend in Baunatal.
