The 2024 season in the senior Bundesliga was concluded in the last few days. The final encounters were held in the women’s 45, 60 and 65 and men’s 75 classes. The ladies 45 and 60 played in a round-robin system, each team played three home and three away games. The women 65 and men 75 played their games in tournament form, twelve teams fought for the title of Austrian team champions in the Warmbad-Villach sports park for a week.
Damen 45: For the seventh time in a row, the women of TC Kitzbühel secured the championship title. The Tyroleans were in a class of their own and clearly won all matches. The Styrian team from TV Sparkasse St. Stefan/Stainz took second place, somewhat surprisingly, just ahead of the Burgenland team from UTC Pöttsching.
Damen 60: The surprise team this year was the ASVÖ Pörtschacher TC, who clearly won all matches and won the first title in this age group. Second place also went to a Carinthian team, the team from Sportunion Klagenfurt. This time, third place went to the winning team from last year, the BMTC-Brühl Mödlinger TC from Lower Austria.
