NEW YORK – A woman is fighting for her life after a vehicle ran a red light in Brooklyn and collided with the shared service car in which she was riding. The car turned and was practically destroyed after the impact.
Police say the 32-year-old passenger was in the car, near Bedford Avenue and Dekalb, after midnight Monday, when a Dodge Charger car ran a red light at high speed and struck the vehicle where she was. The woman suffered serious injuries and was rushed to Bellevue, authorities said.
Two other people were also injured, but are in stable condition, according to police. These two injured people are the drivers of the two vehicles involved.
No other information was immediately released. The accident is under investigation, police said.
