Entitled “My Best Enemy”, this original composition is one of the 20 titles unveiled by the American studio behind the video game “League of Legends” (LoL), whose universe Arcane is adapting.

This title marks the return to song of Stromae, one of the most listened to French-speaking artists in the world, who had suddenly stopped his tour in May 2023, explaining that he needed rest. He had thrown in the towel for the first time at the end of 2015, wrung out by his big world tour and affected by depression aggravated by the side effects of an antimalarial.
On Tuesday, the singer of “Papaoutai” and “Formidable” spoke out to announce a film about his interrupted tour and thank his fans. “Your kindness and empathy, following the cancellation of the end of the tour, touched me enormously,” he wrote on his networks.
Stromae will sing “Ma meilleure ennemie” alongside Pomme, a committed artist who, at 27, embodies one of the new faces of French song.

Other names announced include Frenchman Woodkid, American rock band Twenty One Pilots and American singer Ashnikko.
Arcane was designed and produced by Riot Games, in collaboration with French studio Fortiche Production, which has already worked with it and other game publishers, and has also developed an animated series for Marvel Studios.
Aired in 2021 on Netflix, the first season features champions from the LoL universe, with the conflict between Zaun, a territory of the underworld, and Piltover, a rich city of the dominants, as a backdrop, in an era where magic and technology intertwine.
