Stroll on the banks of the Meuse, between Namur and Dinant

As part of its summer series, Le Soir takes us for a walk between Namur and Dinant, on the banks of the Meuse. Stéphane Vande Velde, journalist for the daily, came to tell us about these walks which have some wonderful surprises in store. We received it as part of “#Restart”, the RTBF plan launched in support of culture and the media, sectors hard hit by the Covid-19 crisis.

Go along the Meuse and stroll among the ruins, that’s what Le Soir offers you today. This walk will allow you to discover the many riches of the valley. Start with Profondeville, its rocks and its views. Continue your journey to discover the many castles in the region such as those of Poilvache or from Crèvecoeur. Several choices are then available to you, go to the abbey of Leffe, to visit Dinant, continue to enjoy the landscape of the Meuse. Stéphane Vande Velde advises you to end your walk with the brewery of the Caracole where everything is done the old fashioned way. The manager, François T tab, still uses the equipment of yesteryear and heats the vats over a wood fire.
