Stroke at 17: “Today I’m studying psychology”

Lara was still in high school when her younger brother found her on the bathroom floor. The 17-year-old could no longer speak and could hardly move. It soon became clear: Lara had had a stroke. She was paralyzed on the right side and had to learn to walk and talk again. After six weeks in hospital and rehab, Lara returned to her old high school class. She got it into her head that she would graduate from high school with her class. But the way there was hard. She had to study for hours, some teachers had little understanding for her situation. You can find out how it was for her and what the stroke did to her self-esteem in the video.
