Strip the News expose yet another scam. The correspondent of Canale 5, Marco Camisani Calzolari, warns of two more attempts to steal money and data online. The first makes use of an email message. The second is a sms which uses the Findomestic brand. The first, as demonstrated by the satirical news correspondent, is signed directly by the Revenue Agency and reads: “Dear Salvatore Esposito, from the examination of the data and payments relating to the Communication of periodic VAT eliminations, shown by you for the quarter 2023, some inconsistencies have emerged”.
And again: “The notifications relating to the inconveniences found are accessible in the ‘Tax Drawer’ (Agency section) accessible from Revenue Agency website and in the latest version in the archive attached to this e-mail”. Finally, here is a link to click to download the alleged attachment. Nothing could be further from the truth.

As Camisani Calzolari explains “it is a phishing campaign aimed at collecting our personal data and stealing our money”. The same goes for the text message. Here we read: “Attention! Her Findomestic App is active on a new device in Madrid, if it’s not her you block it by following the link”. It is also a scam attempt whereby “the bad guys want to alert us and push us to open the web connection. Let’s not do it, it’s about an attempted theft of our credentials to access the account”.
