Mourad Aliev discussed after, according to the judge, he beheaded his opponent, the British Frazer Clarke, and protested against the judge’s decision.
Afterwards, Aliev showed his anger by, among other things, spitting out and kicking away his dental protection and hitting a TV camera. After that, he also chose to go on strike and refused to leave the ring for an hour.
Now Aliev, together with the French Boxing Federation and the French Olympic Committee, submitted an application to Cas for the match to be resumed from the start of the second round, with a new judge.
Cas writes that they will announce their decision as soon as possible.
