One report claims that forward Timo Werner will take a hard look at his future if he cannot return to Chelsea’s first team.

The 25-year-old is in his second season at Stamford Bridge after a big money move from RB Leipzig last summer. The Blues paid out £ 47.5 million for the German international who signed a five-year deal with West Londoners. Much was expected of Werner after his exploits with Die Roten Bullen.

Tuchel trusts Werner’s progression

But in May, he explained to The Telegraph that he understood why there has been criticism of his return.

“I think a lot of people’s expectations of me, outside the club but also within the club, were very high because of my scoring record,” he said.

Werner has been associated with both Bayern Munich and Juventus. But, following the recent 3-0 win over Tottenham, Tuchel revealed that his two main forwards could work together.
