Mexico City. Once again, by a majority of four votes to three, the Plenary Session of the Judicial Council (CJF) authorized the work stoppage in federal courts and tribunals throughout the country to continue until Friday, October 11.
The approval of this date, after 45 days of unemployment had already been completed, was at the proposal of Minister Norma Piña Hernández and approved by the councilors, Lilia Mónica López Benítez, José Alfonso Montalvo Martínez and Sergio Javier Molina Martínez.
Councilors Bernardo Bátiz, Celia Maya and Eva Verónica de Gyvés voted against this expansion.
The federal Judiciary justified its decision in this way: “in order to continue with the work and dialogue tables that are being held with the associations of the heads of the jurisdictional bodies and representatives of the workers, as well as to safeguard legal security and generate certainty for users of the federal justice system”.
In this session that began at 6:00 p.m. and concluded after 8:00 p.m., councilor Molina Martínez cast a vote in favor of continuing the strike, although he argued that “consistent with what was previously resolved, the suspension of deadlines It cannot be indeterminate. I recognize the labor requests of the CJF workers. The time for the deadlines to be lifted should be until Monday, October 7, so that an agreement is urgently issued that gives certainty to their needs. rights”, but finally accepted that the new deadline for restarting work is until October 11.
Councilors Bátiz, Maya and De Gyvés proposed that the resumption be immediate, but their request was not echoed and was rejected.
