Strike today April 11th, from trains to public transport: who stops

The strike proclaimed by the CGIL and UIL in support of job security, for a “fair tax reform” and for “a new social model of doing business” has begun: the protest will last four hours for the entire private sector and eight hours for construction and for Emilia Romagna, an extension decided after the serious workplace accident that occurred in Suviana. “These tragedies continue to happen every day, this strike that we had proclaimed on security issues demonstrates the need to intervene to stop this civil war, there is a massacre that this country must take note of, immediate measures are needed that are largely to stop this massacre”, said the leader of Uil, Pierpaolo Bombardieri.

Trains

In the railway transport stop for train traffic personnel from 9.01am to 1pm. Possible limitations or cancellations for regional trains, except for the Campania region which will instead strike on Friday 12 April from 9.00 to 17.00. Local public transport

In the local public transport 4-hour stop in the daily work performance of those employed in the operation of buses, trams and subways, in compliance with the guarantee bands, established at local level and not in conjunction with the 4 hours of participation in the strike by regional railway transport staff. Injunction in Milan: “Slap”

Particular situation in Milan, where the prefect has in fact precluded the ATM employees while the workers of Trenord, which deals with the regional railway service, will be able to join the initiative launched at a national level by CGIL and UIL. The injunction, explained the Prefecture, was therefore necessary “to avoid inconveniences to the mobility of citizens, in conjunction” with these two events “of particular complexity in terms of public order and safety”.

Sea transport and exclusions

In the maritime transport the staff on board the ship stops for the first half of the day and the traveling staff of the ferries connecting with the islands and of the international shipping (excluding lines and essential services) for the first four hours. They go on strike for the first 4 hours of the shift I work with personnel from the goods transport and logistics sector, ports, cableways, funeral transport and fire guards.
