Strike: Ships tied up October 22 and 23 –

A week of strike mobilizations that has just begun.

In addition to the teachers striking on October 23, the Panhellenic Maritime Federation announced a 48-hour strike on October 22 and 23, demanding the signing of a Collective Labor Agreement with a 12% increase.

Workers demand:

  • Repeal of Law 41/50,
  • Immediate amendment of the article on the four-month routing of E.G/O.G, High Speed ​​Ships and
  • Imposition of seven-month mandatory routing,
  • In practice and not on paper without any objection, the non-approval of itineraries by the S.A.S. and Ministers, in view of the new sailing period, without the strict observance of the Maritime Legislation

“We cannot ignore the high profitability of the companies, the 150,000,000 euros they collect annually from the State fund for subsidizing the barren lines, the bonus that the Government is preparing for them for the renewal and modernization of their fleet due to the famous transition to green shipping. We still cannot ignore that even these minimums included in the Maritime Law are being violated on all ships to the detriment of the Seafarers” states the announcement of the PNO.
