Strike leaves Plovdiv without public transport (summary)

A strike leaves Plovdiv with almost no public transport after bus drivers on half the lines, without warning, garaged their cars and refused to budge. which we have already reported. The reason for this is unpaid wages, they said Plovdiv24.bg from the Municipality.

The biggest difficulty is on six of the city lines and the carrier, in the person of owner Veselin Doshkov, has directly warned people to look for alternative means of transport, as the strike could continue.

The news that most of the lines of Plovdiv’s city transport have stopped working was announced by the director of the OP “Organization and control of transport” Georgi Stoilov. Both the drivers and the drivers and the rest of the staff of one of the carriers – Hebros Bus, which however is on strike – most of the lines in the city.

Stoilov hoped that Veselin Doshkov would fix the problem by talking to his drivers and that they would get back to work.

However, this has not happened by today. The drivers refused to work and even declared their readiness to continue their protest for a long time.

Doshkov directly blamed the Plovdiv municipality for the problem, saying there is a lot of corruption there.

However, Council did not take the blame, but explained that there was no delay in funding for the city lines, and even additional funds were provided this year.
