The Swedes started the duel at a good pace, but their opponent had the first big chance. Jaremčuk knocked one home from a counterattack down the right wing, making the score 5 – 1 after 11 minutes. Isak had a fantastic opportunity to put Isak up another goal 19 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar.
