Strike at Kinderland Hamburg eV

Trouble for the employees at Kinderland Hamburg eV – almost all social sector employees in Hamburg have so far received an inflation compensation bonus of €3,000. Unfortunately, this does not currently apply to the employees at Kinderland Hamburg eV.
That is why the ver.di members have now called for a supplementary collective agreement (to the existing in-house collective agreement) for the inflation compensation money. After two negotiations and the now improved refinancing of the daycare centers, there is still no response from management. The ver.di members demanded €3,000. The offer from the management: €0. Explained about this Michael Stock, responsible union secretary ver.di HH:
“Our members are justifiably angry. Who wouldn’t be if €3,000 were missing from their own budget in 2024? The motto ‘Financially burned out at Kinderland’ must change and can change. Because everything has become more expensive, including for the teaching staff at Kinderland Hamburg eV.”
The legal option for tax- and social security-free inflation compensation is only available until the end of 2024. The employees are now putting pressure on ahead of what may be the last round of negotiations at the beginning of December.
The strike will take place on Thursday, November 28th 2024 in Mümmelmannsberg instead of. Meeting point for the strikers is over 7:45 a.m before the We Mümmelmannsberg (Rahewinkel 7a). After the rally there is a demonstration at 8:30 a.m through the district.
