Stricter rules at Aldi, Lidl, Rewe and Co .: The mask requirement is also tightened

Customers from Aldi Süd, Aldi Nord, Lidl, Obi, Rewe, Edeka and Co. must, according to the Decision from the video switch between the federal and state governments for further restrictions on shopping.-

The following applies from December 1st: fewer people are allowed into the branches. Because many people could be in front of the branches, some dealers are now even extending the mask requirement to the parking lot – they are making use of their house rights. Because at the same time, the state governments are announcing: The mask requirement and the minimum distances will be more strictly controlled.

The new decision is a pure chaos of numbers!

Because the changes should apply from a shop area of 800 square meters. Organic stores, hardware stores, department stores and the like have to use the calculator. Nothing will change for smaller bakeries, kiosks, tobacco shops or stationery stores that are a maximum of 800 square meters.

If the store is over 801 square meters, 80 customers (one customer per 10 square meters) are allowed to shop in the first 800 square meters. From 801 square meters, the upper limit of 20 square meters per customer then applies.

For Aldi, Lidl, Rewe, Edeka, Ikea, Galeria Karstadt Kaufhof, Obi, Hagebau and Co. this means: you have to Stricter admission controls.

In an Aldi, Lidl or Rewe City branch that is 1,000 square meters in size, the following applies: 80 customers are allowed to enter the branch up to 800 square meters, the remaining 200 square meters can only be used by ten customers. So actually 90 customers. Minus the ten employees who usually work there, “only” 80 customers are allowed to shop in the 1000 square meter branch.

For shopping centers, according to the resolution, the respective total sales area should be used.
