The Robert Koch Institute shows an incidence of 113.6 for the Offenbach district on Thursday. The day before, the value was 100.7 for the first time above the third warning threshold according to the “Prevention and Escalation Concept to Curb the Further Spread of SARS-CoV-2 in Hesse”.

It should be noted that, in contrast to two weeks ago, there is now a lively and diffuse infection process in the district. Two thirds of the newly infected are younger than 40 years. It is also clear that more than 90 percent of the newly infected have not had complete vaccination protection within the last seven days. In addition to restricting contacts, the 3G rule is becoming increasingly important in order to limit the spread of the virus.

Further restrictions will apply from Friday, September 3. These are specified by the state of Hesse in the escalation concept and are to be implemented by means of a general order from the health department. The following changes to the current rules according to the provisions of the ordinance to protect the population from infections with the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (CoSchuV) of the state of Hesse have been made:

At events, including trade fairs and cultural offers, a maximum of 100 people are allowed indoors and 200 people outdoors. Recovered or fully vaccinated people do not count. The health department can allow exceptions.

Only members of two households or a maximum of ten people are allowed to meet in public spaces. Children up to and including 14 years of age as well as vaccinated or recovered persons do not count.

Only those who have recovered, who have been vaccinated and who have been tested are allowed to use indoor and outdoor catering, events both indoors and outdoors (gatherings, trade fairs, cultural offers, galleries, theaters, museums in which more than 25 people take part) and sports facilities (especially fitness studios, indoor swimming pools, Saunas, sports halls, sports fields). This also applies to services that are close to the body, to casinos, gambling halls, betting offices and similar facilities, to the interiors of leisure and cultural facilities and to facilities for the disabled.

In hotels and campsites with communal facilities, a negative corona test must be presented on arrival and twice a week for longer stays. Recovered or fully vaccinated people are exempt from the obligation to test.
Only a negative test by means of nucleic acid detection (e.g. PCR test) entitles you to visit the outside areas of dance halls, discos, clubs and similar facilities and to enter prostitution facilities.

Wherever the minimum distance of 1.5 meters cannot be maintained, a medical mask – surgical mask or protective mask of the FFP2, KN95, N95 or comparable standards, each without an exhalation valve – must be worn. This is particularly important when entering retail outlets, in queues, at public transport stops and during public performances. A medical mask must also be worn at the seat in school buildings.

When providing body-friendly services, customers and staff are required to wear a protective mask of the FFP2, KN95, N95 or comparable standards, each without an exhalation valve. The same applies to public transport vehicles and to incompletely vaccinated or recovered staff in old people’s and nursing homes.

In retail, one person can be let into the first 800 square meters for every ten square meters of retail space. One person per 20 square meters is required for the areas beyond this.

General recommendation for home office.

The new general order repeals the previous general order and is limited to Thursday, September 30th. According to the escalation concept, the restrictions are to be withdrawn from the next day if the threshold value of the respective level has fallen below for five days in a row.
