The 1. FC Nuremberg took their maiden win at Fortuna Düsseldorf under new manager Markus Weinzierl and gained some breathing room in the battle for relegation from the 2nd Bundesliga.
The “Club” won 1-0 (0-0) at Fortuna Dusseldorf on the twelfth day of play in the constant rain of the Rhine. The goal of the day was scored by striker Kwadwo Duah (47 ‘).
Nuremberg left the 16th place in the standings, Fortuna tried again in vain to recover the promotion standings.
Host without a tidy building game
Nuremberg consistently defended in front of 25,750 spectators and faced duels with all their might, so the hosts had trouble playing an orderly match. Felix Klaus (41st) missed the first really good chance for Fortuna.

The next day, Düsseldorf decide the match day away to Karlsruhe (13:30).
