Strengthening the signal of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) supports Prabowo Subianto as a presidential candidate (candidate) in 2024. Jokowi is considered to be getting closer and closer to the Minister of Defense (Menhan).
The togetherness of President Jokowi and the chairman of the Gerindra Party was again caught on camera. Not only once did the two of them look intimate at an event. Interpretations of the intimacy of the two figures emerged.

“This is what is currently causing 333 million people to starve and maybe in 6 months 800 million people will be hungry and have acute food shortages because there is nothing to eat,” said Jokowi.
During a visit to Ukraine, Jokowi said that a lot of wheat stocks had been held back due to the war. The amount reaches tens of millions of tons.
“At that time I went to Ukraine to meet President Zelensky. He told me there was stock in Ukraine, 22 million tons of stock in warehouses, 55 million tons of stock in the process of harvesting. That means, 77 million wheat that is sitting in Ukraine can’t get out because of the war,” he said. Jokowi.

This moment adds to the long list of close friendships between Jokowi and Prabowo. Before the national remembrance event, Jokowi and Prabowo were close at the moment of Eid al-Adha, Sunday (10/7/2022). Then, during Bhayangkara’s birthday on July 5, Jokowi and Prabowo were also close.
Jokowi had greeted Prabowo before the commemoration ceremony was declared over. Prabowo, who is also an honorary citizen of the Police Mobile Brigade, immediately saluted Jokowi while waiting for the head of state to approach him.
Gerindra’s Response
Gerindra Daily Chair Sufmi Dasco Ahmad initially said the good relationship between the president and Jokowi was something that should have happened and was natural. Dasco views the good relationship as inseparable from Prabowo’s position as a minister in Jokowi’s cabinet.
“I think this friendly and good relationship is something that should and is natural, because this is a team that works together in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet where Pak Jokowi is commanded. on both sides,” Dasco said when contacted, Wednesday (3/8).
Dasco said the closeness of the two rivals in the last election was important for the country. Regarding the public perception of the closeness of Jokowi and Prabowo, Dasco did not make a problem with it.
“That later on, in public moments, seeing that they seem more intimate and judging by the signs or whatever, that’s fine. But what we should be equally grateful for is that in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet, the relationship between the two It’s friendly and okay, that’s what’s important for our country,” he said.
