The Institute for Social and Religious Research (LENSA) in collaboration with the Sukabumi City HIV AIDS Commission (KPA) held a coordination meeting at the beginning of the year regarding the prevention of HIV Aids, on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, in Sunda Rasa. This meeting was attended by the Mayor, Achmad Fahmi, who also acts as the Chair of the Sukabumi City KPA, the Chair of the TP – PKK, Fitri Hayati, as well as representatives of related agencies and institutions.
The Mayor in his remarks conveyed the target for overcoming HIV Aids in 2022, namely preventing new cases and eliminating discrimination for people with HIV Aids. On the other hand, he also emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration with various parties, because the countermeasures cannot only be carried out by KPA. Collaboration is needed, especially to overcome various challenges at this time, one of which appears as a result of the development of information technology.
On this occasion, the Secretary of KPA, Fifi Kusumajaya, said that the coordination meeting involving stakeholders is expected to further maximize the efforts that have been carried out so far in the prevention of HIV Aids. He explained that there were three excellent programs that had been implemented, such as the formation of Warga Peduli and ABAT (I’m Proud I Know), namely socialization that directly visited schools and campuses.
