NEW YORK – Dominican pride will be celebrated this Sunday, August 11 in New York City in its usual colorful Sweden style. Dominican National Parade.
The parade will begin at 1 pm and will take place on Avenida de las Americas (sixth avenue) from 39th to 54th streets This is the 42nd anniversary of the event, which will have the theme “Merengue: Nuestro Ritmo”.

The list of honors for the 2024 edition includes the merengue group Los Hermanos Rosario, as Grand Marshal. Other dignitaries scheduled to attend are Jochy Santos, DJ Aneudy, Bulin 47, Antonio Espaillat, Pedro Brache Álvarez and our reporter Alfredo Acosta, as media ambassador.
The parade will include stage shows and cultural performances along the way. The event will showcase vibrant flowers and costumes, as well as traditional music and food which will ensure a day of fun and celebration for all.
