Street closures and changes in transport through “Biegnij Warszawo” [MAPA]

Street closures, detours and changes in transport – all this is related to the “Run Warsaw” sports event. Today, the participants face a distance of 10 kilometers. The competition is accompanied by a recreational event called “Marching and Supporting”. Organizing an event causes changes in traffic and parking. Until about At 6:00 p.m. buses will run on changed routes in the area of ​​Śródmieście and Dolny Mokotów.

This street run attracts thousands of participants every year – also because its route leads past such attractions of the capital as: the Warsaw Mermaid monument, the palm tree at the de Gaulle Roundabout and the PGE Narodowy.

The competitors started at 12:00 and run through the streets:

• Myśliwiecka, Rozbrat, Ludna, Solec, Tamka, across the Świętokrzyski Bridge, Wybrzeże Szczecińskie, across the Poniatowski Bridge, Aleje Jerozolimskie, through Rondo de Gaulle, Nowy Świat, Świętokrzyska, Tamka, Kruczkowskiego, Rozbrat and Łazienkowska to the finish line.

Runners are actively cheered on by fans who take part in the “I March and Support” event. They will complete a loop, largely overlapping the race route. Start at 12:15, also from the street Myśliwiecka, and then along the streets: Piękna, Wiejska, Matejki, Aleje Ujazdowskie, through Trzech Krzyży Square, Książęca, Rozbrat, Myśliwiecka to the finish line in Aleja Kusocińskiego, at the Piaseczyński Canal.

Preparation for the start began at 6:00. Street Myśliwiecka was closed from the street Agrykola to the Sedlaczka roundabout. At 7:00 a.m. the street was closed to traffic Łazienkowska. Cars will return to Myśliwiecka and Łazienkowska at 6:00 p.m.

The remaining streets on the “Biegnij Warszawo” and “Maszerujemy-Kibicuje” routes were closed at 11:30. During the competition, drivers will not be able to leave the streets and residential roads directly connecting to the routes of both events.

The roadway of the Świętokrzyski Bridge leading to Praga will also be impassable. From the streets Coast of Kościuszko, Good i Topiel – from the side of the Copernicus Science Center – drivers will only exit to the right. The streets along the competition route will remain closed until 2:30 p.m.

Streets without parking

Due to the organization of “Run Warsaw” and “Marching and Supporting”, parking restrictions will also be introduced.

The first of them will come into force on Saturday, October 5, at 6:00 a.m. on Myśliwiecka Street. Then at 8:00 a.m. at Łazienkowska Street.

On the remaining streets of the run and march, parking will be prohibited from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Warsaw Public Transport on detours

On Saturday, from the beginning of service until the opening of the streets Myśliwiecka i Łazienkowska, bus lines:107, 108, 159, 162, 171 i 517 they will follow changed routes.

Around 11:30, when subsequent streets will be closed, the following bus routes will also be changed: 106, 111, 116, 117, 118, 127, 146, 147, 158, 162, 166, 180, 503, 507, 517, 521 i Z-9.
