Those streams are popular, but not with advertisers. They did not want their brand to be associated with the ‘sexy’ women. That’s why Twitch stopped showing ads on those channels altogether.
Naked is not allowed
That in turn led to a stir among other users of Twitch, because the women do nothing that is not allowed. Nudity, sexual acts and pornography are prohibited on the website. The rules allow streaming in swimwear from a bath, pool or beach.
Twitch responds to the fuss in a blog post. The company says it will not ban the streams. “The simple fact that you’re sexy isn’t against the rules. We don’t take action against people for their attractiveness.”
