Streamer Alexey PCH3LK1N Pchelkin Speaks on 9Pandas Disqualification from PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 – Visa Issues Lead to Team’s Removal

Streamer Alexey PCH3LK1N Pchelkin commented on the situation with the disqualification of 9Pandas from PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 for CS2, which happened due to visa problems. Pchelkin’s words were published on the website Metaratings.ru.

As we learned today, the visas were ready on the 14th. They simply didn’t have time to give them their passports. This is even more offensive, because we have visas, we are ready to go, but we simply don’t have a passport with this stamp. We may find out who is to blame a little later. Perhaps this is just a common problem with these visas. It’s sad that something like this affects the most important tournament of your life. I hope the “pandas” don’t give up and continue to play.

On March 16, it became known that 9Pandas would miss the first Counter-Strike 2 major due to visa problems. Representatives of PGL noted that they extended the deadline for the team’s arrival at the championship site several times, but by March 16, only three 9Pandas players arrived in Copenhagen. The team’s place in the tournament was taken by GamerLegion.

PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 will take place from March 17 to 31 in Denmark. The prize fund of the tournament will be $1.250 million. The list of participants in the major is available in the report.
