The corregimiento of Badillo, jurisdiction of Valledupar, presented flooding effects due to the overflow of the ‘Mamón de leche’ stream, which collects water from the rain and also from the river that bears the same name as the town.
The foregoing occurred yesterday afternoon after the municipality It rained for a period of more than three hours.
According to Badillo’s corregidora, Elina Gutierrez, the flood appeared from one moment to another by the heavy rains in this region.
Said several tributaries of the Badillo River overflowed their banks at the height of La Vega, Las Raíces, Patillal and in the area of La Malena.
“The water runs through all the streets and even entered several houses that are flooded. This all happened in a matter of minutes because initially it was just the downpour.”Gutierrez added.
There was also an overflow of the ravines located on the road that leads from Valledupar to San Juan del Cesar, which mainly They draw water from the aforementioned river.
