Stream music and dance

MAINZ – (mij). From this Monday, March 8th, the 60-minute film “From Gutenbergplatz to the White House” with the Philharmonic State Orchestra Mainz will be online on the State Theater’s streaming portal.

In addition to orchestral music by Leonard Bernstein, Kurt Weill, Stephen Sondheim and Richard Rodgers, viewers can follow an entertaining and informative conversation between cabaret artist Lars Reichow and chief conductor Hermann Bäumer – about the music they listen to and about political and personal matters.

The film is available for three months and can be accessed via the State Theater’s streaming portal at stream.staatstheater-mainz.com. This works according to the pay-as-you-wish principle, with a minimum fee of 5 euros.

Meanwhile, the livestream series #Creating Sacre continues: next Thursday, March 11th, 6 p.m., all dance enthusiasts will again have the chance to immerse themselves in the creative work process of tanzmainz and the creation of the piece Le Sacre. In the one-hour stream, some of which is in English, dance director Honne Dohrmann speaks with general music director Hermann Bäumer about the music as well as with three dancers from the ensemble. Meanwhile, all viewers have the opportunity to ask questions to those involved via live chat.

The stream can also be seen on the State Theater’s new online streaming portal.
