The first DEL teams have made their preparatory premiere for the 2021/22 season. That’s how it went in the first test matches.
Not only the Dolomitencup in Neumarkt started with a 4: 1 (1: 1, 0: 0, 3: 0) victory of the Augsburg Panthers over the Italian national team. The Straubing Tigers are also hosting their Gäuboden Cup again this season. The hosts celebrated a 3: 1 (1: 0, 0: 1, 2: 0) victory against the Nürnberg Ice Tigers. Yannik Valenti scored the first goal of the season (8th). The Franks also equalized in the power play, with Ryan Stoa (34th) scorer. During a five-minute shortfall, Tim Brunnhuber (48th) and Andreas Eder (53rd) scored the two goals to make it 3-1.
The Tigers will meet ERC Ingolstadt in the final on Sunday at 7 p.m., who won 3: 2 (0: 1, 2: 0, 1: 1) against the Grizzlys Wolfsburg. Simon Gnyp and Daniel Pietta shot the Wolfsburg guided tour by Trevor Mingoia in the middle section. The Grizzlys managed to equalize Julian Melchiori again before Leon Hüttl secured the victory for Ingolstadt. Wolfsburg will meet Nuremberg in the game for 3rd place on Sunday at 2.30 p.m.
