Already very active during this transfer window with more than 60 ME spent, Strasbourg will beat its record for the most expensive transfer in its history by spending 21 ME to secure the services of a Chelsea striker.
Since the start of the transfer window, Strasbourg has been hyperactive and has already tied up the arrivals of Sékou Mara, Sebastian Nanasi, Mamadou Sarr, Guéla Doué, Félix Lemaréchal, Oscar Perea, Diego Moreira and Yoni Gomis. In total, the Alsatian club has spent 60 ME… and it’s not over yet. On this last day of the transfer window, the American owners of Strasbourg, who also own Chelsea, are promising a real fireworks display for the Alsatian supporters. According to information from L’Equipe, a Brazilian striker is about to arrive from the Blues for the tidy sum of 21 ME, which would quite simply be the biggest transfer in the history of Strasbourg.
David Washington lands in Strasbourg
The national daily indicates that Deivid Washington, recruited by Chelsea from Santos for 16 ME a year ago, will sign in Strasbourg and it will therefore not be a loan as is often the case between the two clubs but a permanent transfer. The 19-year-old Brazilian striker, considered very promising, will initial a five-year contract in Strasbourg. Very little used last year within the London club, Deivid Washington arrives in Ligue 1 with the firm intention of making a name for himself and helping Racing to move up a level. The Strasbourg project sometimes raises questions but we cannot say that the leaders have not put the means to build an attractive squad. Liam Rosenior will have plenty to work with and can be ambitious for the coming season in Strasbourg.
