Strasbourg: public transport adapted for Christmas and New Year

Reading time: 3 min

Curfews, public holidays … Obviously, the CTS offers a very light offer for Christmas and New Year’s Eve evenings.

If the system obviously changes every year, it also takes into account the constraints related to the curfew. For the evening of December 24, even if the curfew will be exceptionally lifted, there will be no more buses or trams in circulation from 7 p.m. For December 31, it’s the opposite: curfew, but circulation of a few lines until 10:30 p.m. before the total interruption until 5 a.m. on January 1. Note that buses and trams will also be in “light” mode from 3pm, with several detours that will be put in place.

Some points to remember:

December 24

– Last departures of the Iron Man at 7 p.m.

– Closure of the central station at 7.15 p.m.

– TaxiBus and Hibus services will not be provided

– Park and ride areas remain open 24 hours a day

December 31st

– Last departures from the city center at 7 p.m.

– Total interruption at 10:30 p.m.

– Park-and-ride facilities remain open 24 hours a day / Note also that the Park-Relais Baggersee, Ducs d’Alsace, Elsau and Hoenheim Gare will be free from 31/12 at 3 p.m. to 2/01 at 3 p.m.
