Strasbourg Appeals Decision in Monaco Match Controversy: Latest Update

The meeting between Strasbourg and Monaco on March 24 continues to get people talking. The SIG decided to appeal against the decision of the League, which gave the victory to Monaco this Wednesday.

Strasbourg asked the National Basketball League and the Federation to appeal the victory held at Monaco vs. SIG (92-78) on the 26th day of the French championship, the Alsatian club announced on Friday.

This success was initially stripped from Team Roca by the National Basketball League’s legal and disciplinary commission (CJDR), a decision that was overturned on appeal for “lack of form”. Then the CJDR held the victory for the Monegasque leader during his second trial.

“The club is truly inconsolable about questioning the first position of the CJDR that announced victory for the SIG Strasbourg on the green carpet for the meeting on March 24, 2024, a decision that is justified with the presence on the match sheet of Messrs Blossomgame and Obradovic, while they were under temporary suspension after disqualifying offenses during the Coupe de France match on March 17, 2024.points out in a press release the chairman of the board of directors of SIG Christophe Lasvigne.

This victory on the green carpet would have allowed Strasbourg to match Cholet, eighth in the Elite and currently qualified for the playoffs three days before the end of the regular season.
