Strasbourg. A tram train in the colors of Hungary

Various personalities and representatives from France, Germany and Hungary took part in the inauguration and commissioning ceremony of the tram in honor of Hungary: in particular Julia Dumay, deputy in charge of European and international affairs, Marija Pejcinovic Buric, general secretary from the Council of Europe, Rolf Mafael, Ambassador Permanent Representative of Germany and Peter Sztaray, Hungarian State Secretary for Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade.

Germany succeeds Germany in the six-month rotating presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe. The meeting took place in front of the Human Rights Palace, at the station of the same name.

The inhabitants of Strasbourg will be able to discover the new dressing of the oar in the colors of the Hungarian flag: a stylized floral pattern in red, white and green.

This presidency began on May 21, 2021, and this is the second time that Hungary has held it. Another, more solemn ceremony took place at the town hall, Place Broglie, with the raising of German and Hungarian flags and national anthems, followed by the European anthem.

The opportunity for official representatives to discover the exhibition of photographs from several countries – including Hungary – to demonstrate that borders do not exist. The photographer has chosen peace as his theme, through an itinerary and landscapes where one moves freely. Then, the participants conversed in a meeting.

The City of Strasbourg, in partnership with the Council of Europe, will organize a program with cultural events around Hungarian culture from September.
