On several occasions, a woman in Strasbourg has seen her neighbor attack her little dog, either kicking him out of the lift or forcibly dragging him by the end of his leash.
On Wednesday 14 December he sent a video to the Society for the Protection of Animals (SPA) in Strasbourg, denouncing the violence committed on the jack russell.
Skinny and exhausted
The association immediately forwarded the alarm to the carabinieri. A chain of solidarity was then established between the civil servants of the judicial support group and those of the specialized field brigade.
Less than two hours after the complaint, the police went to the home of the pet’s owner, named ScoubyDoo. They found the dog, 14, emaciated and exhausted. He had neither water nor food at his disposal.
Taken in by a family of policemen
Supported by the animal shelter, the dog was seen by a vet who found several untreated illnesses. He was secretive about his chances of survival.
After a few days of recovery, ScoubyDoo found rest in a foster family, made up of a police officer and a National Police Reservist.
Its owner is summoned to court in March
Heard from a police officer specializing in the fight against animal abuse the 49-year-old owner of the dog explained that the animal had become a burden to her.
The 40-year-old is summoned to court to answer for her actions on March 7. For this mistreatment of an animal, you incur a fine of 750 euros. The SPA filed a complaint.
