‘Stranger Things’ star David Harbor is happy that the series will end soon: “It’s about time” | TV

The Duff brothers already announced that season 5 of their brainchild ‘Stranger Things’ will be the last. For David Harbor – who plays Jim Hopper in the popular Netflix series – this finale comes not too soon. “It’s time for it to stop,” he tells the website ‘Discussing Film’.

“It’s funny, when ‘Stranger Things’ started, I thought: I hope this show never ends,” says Harbor. “But we are now nine years after the first season, and it is time for the series to end.”

Not that the actor is reluctant to be on set with co-stars Winona Ryder, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown and Noah Schnapp, but he wants to focus on other projects. “But of course it is very bittersweet,” says Harbor about the farewell. “In addition, we have all grown up. It’s time to leave the nest and try other things and other projects.”

Harbor’s star has been rising since his portrayal of Jim Hoppper. The actor recently appeared in the movie ‘Violent Night’ and in 2024 he will be seen in the Marvel movie ‘Thunderbolts’.
