NEW YORK – Police are looking for a man who, according to them, accidentally assaulted a 27-year-old pedestrian in Manhattan, punching him in the face multiple times with a clenched fist and fracturing his face before escaping, authorities say.
The victim was walking along West 65th Street at around 11:10 am Friday when she was captured not far from Central Park West. Police say the stranger approached and, without provocation, began punching him in the right ear.
Then he ran away. No words seemed to be exchanged.
The victim was taken to hospital with multiple facial fractures, New York City police said.
