Strange incident happened at the match superclasico Argentina between Boca Juniors vs River Plate. The ball in front of an empty goal ‘refuses’ to enter the net Mouth. How come?
Boca Juniors hosts River Plate at the La Bombonera Stadium, Monday (15/3/2021) evening local time, on the fifth week Argentina League. The match ended in a 1-1 draw.
The home team took the lead via Sebastian Villa’s penalty in the 41st minute, before Agustin Palavecinoa equalized in the 67th minute. The match went hard, until the referee had to issue red cards for Carlos Zambrano (Boca Juniors) and Milton Casco (River Plate).
River Plate actually almost scored the winning goal towards the end of the game. Defender Boca Juniors, Carlos Izquierdoz, wrongly anticipated the ball crossing into the penalty box, so that the ball was aimed at the goal itself.
The ball passed goalkeeper Esteban Andrada and headed into an empty net. Instead of going inside, the ball suddenly spun in front of the goal line so that it failed to become a goal.
In replays, it looks like the ball ‘refuses’ to enter the goal of Boca Juniors. This incident was viral on social media and surprised many fans.
Not a few fans attribute this incident to the legend of Boca Juniors, the late Diego Maradona. Ghosts The D10S claimed to ‘prevent’ River Plate, which incidentally was a great enemy Mouth, scored the winner at La Bombonera.
